Jacqueline Silberbush is an artist working across mediums with a specialty in photography. Her long-form documentary work explores sexuality and coming-of-age, war in places tied to her family's past and present, fading memory, and American political life, a compelling exploration of everyday existence amid upheaval, whether that's a girl's journey into adulthood or a ballet performance within a war zone.
She is the author of the photobook What Shod I be!!!!? (Mass Books, 2024), held in the collections of ICP and the George Eastman Museum. Her work has been exhibited at the Tang Teaching Museum and the Jewish Museum, and featured in The New York Times.
She is full-time faculty at Kean University, and also teaches at the International Center of Photography and as an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Silberbush holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from Skidmore College.
